The Premier League season 20/21 is paused for the international break. And with this break it is a good time to sum up what we have seen so far. The season of 2020 is a strange one and very affected by the pandemic obviously and with this comes some really surprising results! Aston Villa beat Liverpool with 7-2 being one of the most chocking results in the Premier League history. Overall the goal scored is set to exceed any other previous season, if it is to continue in same pace.

There are some interesting conclusions to be made so far, so let’s have a look at the most interesting ones so far:
Leader;
Leicester City – Has once again started the season off really well. With this team more or less intact from the previous season a lot of punters expect Leicester to be in the Champions League race until the end. The question is; will they fall through in the end like they did last season or are they able to copy the incredible season of 2015/16, where they beat all odds and won the title for the first time.
Biggest Surprise of the Premier League Season;
Aston Villa – With one game in hand Aston Villa could actually be in a top positions if they are to win their next fixture against Brighton. Lots of expert expected Aston Villa to be struggling this season and even suggested they could be facing relegation. But with wins over Liverpool, Leicester and Arsenal the tables have turned and Aston Villa has exceeded everyone’s expectations.
Biggest Disappointments;
The Manchester Clubs – It’s difficult to say who is the most disappointing team so far, the red part of manchester or the blue part. On one hand Manchester United has been constantly been underperforming these last seasons and the expectations are not even that high any more. On the other hand they should do better considering the money the spent on the team. But it’s hard do deny the fact that Manchester City also should be doing better, but they just can’t seem to get their defense in order even though they made some major signings in Nathan Ake and Ruben Diaz. Needless to say, none of the clubs are happy with where they are at the moment, both in terms of positions as well as performances.
Top Goalscorer;
Heung-min Son, Jamie Vardy, Calvert-Lewin and Mohamed Salah are all on 8 goals when the international break kicks in. No huge surprises there really. The Tottenham duo with Son and Kane has been linking up really well and could potentially be one of the hottest attacking duo in Europe at the moment. Everton is off to a great start of the season, much thanks to Calvert-Lewin who has done really well so far with 8 goals, a lot of them game winners. Vardy and Salah has continuing their goalscoring streaks and are expected to fight for the goalscoring title until the end of the season.
Talk of the Season So Far;
Leeds – Many Premier League fantasts are delighted to have Leeds back in the top flight. And it’s been a while! Not since 2003/04 have the club been competing against the top clubs in England in the Premier League. Fair to say, they have not returned to the main stage quitely. With one of the most talked about managers, Bielsa has managed to turn this Leeds team into a frenatiq and very hard-working team. This also reflects in the games so far, with 14 goals conceded they have conceded more goals than any other and still they have managed to come out with ten points. It will be exciting to continue this intense team who embodies this crazy Premier League season very well.
Premier League Prediction
So where will the madness that is Premier League 2020 end? Really hard to say, but a lot of it depends on when the fans will be allowed back in again. So far we have seen some major surprises in the table and in many of the fixtures. It could definitely has something to do with the empty stands and the lack of motivation that this bring to some players and teams. But whether or not the fans will be returning this season or not, we are looking at a Premier League season that is really tricky to predict. With a tight schedule, especially for the teams competing in Europe, we will continue to see a lot of injuries and some rotations in the teams. And this feel like a season where anything could happen! Will Aston Villa be able to see this through and actually be competing for a top four position? Could Tottenham win their first title since 2008 with Mourinho? Can Sheffield United get their act together and avoid relegation? Will Manchester United improve their performances at home?
Lots of questions to be answered and less time to do it in now. Let’s just hope the madness continues!
